Some examples of detail work that can be done with very small stitches on a sewing machine. In the first picture I made a button cuff for a men’s Victorian nightgown. It had a thin hem with small, even stitches as you can see in the second picture. The next two pictures I was experimenting with freehand machine embroidery and applique. I did two versions of the J.R.R. Tolkien monogram, one outlined and one filled, and a seahorse applique.
